Colors to launch a cricket based fiction show

Having witnessed Star’s success with the launch of Satyamev Jayate in the weekend time band, Colors is now following the leader’s move and is planning to launch a cricket based show. There are strong rumors that the new show is being titled as ‘Chak De Balle’ and it will be a fiction show. This show will have a mix of music, romance, tragedy, comedy and cricket matches ofourse! What is more interesting is the cricket matches which are a part of this show will be shot in stadium with real audience!! So it is pertinent to note here that the IPR of the show lies with the recently-launched Cricket Entertainment World Pvt Limited, which specialises in cricket-based entertainment shows. Chak De Balle! is the first project under the banner.

While Satyamev Jayate has certainly opened the doors for viewership in weekend slots, Colors had taken some steps to add to it’s programming with programs like - Zindagi Ki Haqeeqat Se Aamna Samna (Sat-Sun 10 pm), Ring Ka King (Sat, Sun 8 pm) and All Is Well With Dr. Ahluwalia without much impact.
