There is neither a tiger nor a dark dingy cave, but located in Saluvankuppam, five kms from Mahabalipuram, are a couple of rock cut temples. Tiger cave is the best example of the pallava architecture. If u travel nearly 4 kms in the north direction from the main complex,you will reach Tiger Cave. The name Tiger cave derives from the tiger that was the pet of goggess Durga.
