The Iraqi version of Shakespeare's play of star crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, opened to a packed house at Iraq's National Theatre on April 16. The production, that was commissioned for the World Shakespeare Festival, is part of the cultural programme for the London 2012 Olympics and will show in Stratford upon Avon in the UK from April 26 to May 5, and in London from June 28 to 30.
