This episode opens on a note of happiness and romance as Shivani goes for a brief vacation with Avinash and Rohit tries his best to build a bridge with Gayatri in the midst of shooting at Mahabaleshwar! That parting is indeed such sweet sorrow is portrayed by Shivani as she bids adieu to Avinash asking him to return before the birth of their child. Composer Naik makes inspired use of a chorus in his BM as Shivani weeps on Avinash s departure to Canada. Her IM (Interior Monologue) pleads her desperaton at being left all alone for 6 months. He playfully tells her that when their baby starts moving inside her he will scold him/her on the phone! He refuses to let her come to see him off at the airport as that would stop him from sitting in the plane! As Shivani tries to sleep, she wakes up suddenly gets worried when she receives a blank call! It recurs and she tells Avinash to stop bothering her but he surprises her by mentioning he is in the near vicinity! She rushes into his arms and he confesses he had heard her thoughts and that stopped him from going. As regards his job, he says that her happiness mattered more to him!
Film Shoppe’s ‘Sailaab’ written & directed by Ravi Rai, is essentially love story between Shivani (Renuka Shahane) & Rohit (Sachin Khedekar). Rohit, is an aspiring novelist & writer who soon dicovers how cruel this city of dreams can be. Hailing from Calcutta, he switches tracks & starts writing for films once he falls in love with Shivani. Shivani’s elder brother Vijay (Raju Kher) sings his praises & appreciates his intellect till he finds out that he is in love with his sister! Vijay, like all brothers, is keen to see Shivani settled with a person who is financially sound & the idealisitic writer in pursuit of an elusive dream doesn't inspire much confidence!
Shivani gets married to a doctor Avinash (Ajikya Deo/Mahesh Thakur) who is extremely wealthy too. Rohit tie the knot in court with Gayatri on the rebound almost. But to Gayatri’s credit, she stood by Rohit when he was in a most vulnerable phase having just lost his father & still in a fluid stage as far as his career is concerned. Past & present intermingle freely to say nothing of frequently as Shivani, Rohit & Gayatri mull over their past & contemplate their future with an intensity that makes their old friends like Vicky (Bhushan Jeevan), Nilu (Neelofer) & Girish (Makrand Deshpande) nervous & fear a momentous storm brewing! Do their fears prove to be true or do Shivani & Rohit live happily ever after with their respective spouses?
