Saloni and Neel are depressed and remember the good times they had spent together. However, Saloni feels bad when she recalls how her mother, Ambica, had insulted Neel when he'd sung a song on Shubra's birthday. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Neel quits his job and decides to leave the city. Aapji, Neel's caretaker, encourages Neel to face the situation. However, he feels sorry for Neel all the same, and decides to do something for him. Aapji then meets Saloni's parents and requests them to consider Neel and Saloni's alliance. Ambica gets furious and chides Aapji. She insults him and shows him the door. She also warns him of dire consequences if Neel ever tries to meet Saloni. Aapji feels humiliated and walks out. However, he is shocked when he sees Neel near the door.
