Savitri urges Saraswati to speak out today and take a decision without fear. Saraswati replies that she wants to give birth to the baby. Menka and Baa beg Saraswati not ruin her future. Menka asks how Saraswati will be able to manage a child without its father, so Saraswati replies that she will work and take care of it. Saraswati pleads Suryakant not to snatch her world from her. Saraswati then declares that if there was no refuge at home for her unborn baby, then she would leave the house. Suryakant supports her decision and assures her that even she has a right over the house! A delighted Lakshmi gifts a small idol of Lord Ganesha to Saraswati on behalf of her sisters. Pavitra too pretends to be happy and says that she was always against the decision of an abortion. Saraswati tells herself that she still has one task unfulfilled. When Baa voices her disapproval, Suryakant says that he is proud of Saraswati's decision and belief. He tells Baa that nobody has the right to snatch a baby from its mother, and assures Baa that the baby will give Saraswati a reason to live. Baa too finally relents.
