Vishakhapatnam /Mumbai/ Siliguri/ Tripura, November 09 (ANI): Upping the ante against the Central government over its economic policies, CPM backed trade unions launched a nationwide agitation yesterday. The protestors courted arrest in Vishakhapatnam to demonstrate against price rise and corruption. Meanwhile, the Republican Party of India also staged a protest against price rise in Mumbai. Trade Union members in Siliguri district of West Bengal also voiced there ire against the central government's plans to dilute the coffers of the Employees Provident Fund. Likewise, protests were also staged in Tripura against the Central government, which the protestors termed was working under the influence of capitalist forces.
